Kon-Tiki

VENTRESS LIBRARY CLASSIC BOOK GROUP TO DISCUSS KON-TIKI BY THOR HEYERDAHL ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2011 FROM 4:30 - 6pm

The Ventress Memorial Library in Marshfield hosts an ongoing book discussion group. The next session will meet on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 4:30-6:00 in the library's Historical Room. November's classic read title is "Kon-Tiki: Across the Pacific by Raft" by Thor Heyerdahl. Written in 1947 by a Norwegian leader of the Kon-Tiki expedition, this true adventure tale chronicles the harrowing feat of sailing a balsa raft across the Pacific Ocean. Sign up in advance to reserve a seat, or just come on the day to listen. The program is free and open to the public. New members are always welcome. If a copy of the book is needed, contact reference librarian Chris Woods to place them on hold through OCLN. Light refreshments will be served. For more information please call the library at 781-834-5535 or visit www.ventresslibrary.org
